Managing Side Menus

Before you is a tutorial video about managing sidebar menus, adding and removing objects and the different management possibilities.

Underneath you can find textual explanations about the different topics discussed in the video.

Side menu management

You can add a side menu to the left, right, or both sides to any template. Not all of the templates were designed to contain side menus so it is recommended to choose a template that has been designed with side menus in mind.

In order to work on the website's design interface, go to Features (at the right of the screen)>>Advanced Design>>Add.

First, in order to allow the website to contain side menus, go to Design>>Manage Side Menus>>Settings and check the menu you'd like in your website (left or right) >>Apply.

In order to see the side menu, click Design>>Manage Side Menus.

In this window, you can see and manage all of the tools that appear in the side menu.

  • News (this box will not be displayed in the event that no posts exist)
  • Page menu
  • Site Search Box
  • Mailing list
  • Member Login
  • Free code
  • Special Offers
  • Display shopping cart
  • Facebook Like Box
  • Website Sharing
  • Survey
  • Google search box
  • Show date and time
  • Latest Forum Messages

You can change the location of the tools by dragging them to the desired location.

Adding a management tool to the side menu:

In order to add a tool to the side menu, click Design>>Side Menu Management>>Add Menu Tool.

Select tool - Choose a tool from the available tools on the website. If a certain tool does not appear in the menu, it is because it is on the other side. You can remove it from the other menu and then it will be visible in the menu you'd like it in.

  • Window header - the header that will appear before the tool
  • Window height - You can change the height of the window in pixels.
  • Enable data scrolling? All the information under the window will move up.
  • Display tool header - The window header will appear in the side menu.
  • Display tool frame - The tool will be displayed with a thin frame.
