Drag and Drop Interface
Our Content Management System has undergone a massive upgrade, which made the website building task as easy as never before.
This article provides a general explanation on the capabilities of the new drag-and-drop interface, the tools it offers and the principles of working with it.
How to Use the Drag-and-Drop Interface?
The drag-and-drop interface is divided into two major columns:
-
Site Areas Column
-
Tool Type Column
-
By clicking on "Content" or "Header" in the Site Areas, you can select the area that you would like to edit.
-
In the Tool Type column you may select a variety of tools to be implemented in your site's areas and place them in their designated positions by dragging.
The following image illustrates "dragging" of a text block into a page. Other tools may be added in a similar manner:
Tool Type Column
This column contains the following categories:
-
Basic - Tools most widely used for website construction.
-
Text - Tools for textual content editing.
-
Multimedia - Visual and audio tools.
-
Modules - Complementary tools, such as forms and polls.
-
Layouts - Pre-made page layout templates, that may be dragged into a page for personal design purposes.
Deleting Tools
Sometimes you might want to delete a previously added tool. In order to eliminate a tool, simply click the X button in the tool's top left corner.
Advanced Options
Once you have added a tool to the page, you can implement changes by means of advanced options. Put your mouse over the tool and click the Advanced options button (as illustrated in the following screenshot).
Menu Button
Each tool features a Menu button, which allows you to access the advanced editor, in case you would like to edit HTML, replace an image, a form or a gallery.
